In my reflections, I have learnt what I need to improve on and what I do well. I have enjoyed keeping a blog because it made me view my work critically and see what I had done well and what I didn't do well. I would like to keep blogging in the future. It is better than a written reflection because it can be more personalised and has more options. Overall, I think I completed my blog to a high standard and I'm quite proud of what I've accomplished with it.

Subject Evaluation
IT093 has definitely been my favourite subject this semester. I particularly enjoy using Photoshop and Prezi which admittedly was most of the time. I think I improved my Photoshop skills a lot over the course of the semester and learnt a lot about multimedia. I would love to complete more IT classes and maybe even further my skills with these kind of programs. I think that I did pretty well with most of the projects and I'm quite proud of some of my work. Overall, I think I did a good job with this subject and look forward to future multimedia classes.
Major Project Evaluation
I think I did fairly well with this project. I used a variety of tools for my poster and Prezi. I think I utilized the zooming tool with my Prezi very well. I think my website was a little all-over-the-place, but I included all of the relevant information. I think I could have included more information in my Prezi and/or poster but overall, I was pleased with the presentation of all three parts. I am not sure if I did enough research but I included most to all of the pictures I used and some information that guided the decisions of my own themepark.

Reflections
Prezi: I found Prezi to be very different to Powerpoint. I thought it was far more interesting but harder to operate. It took a bit of getting used to but in the end was a better option than Powerpoint. It was a lot more advanced which was great but again it was difficult to master, things like paths were hard to work out. I will use it again for other presentations. It was great to use for a change as Powerpoint is main-stream and boring. If I was going to change it, I would have made the colour-scheme easier to read.
Google Docs: I liked Google Docs. It was easy to use and is a convenient option if you have to work in a group. I found it really easy to use because it was basically the same as the PC version. However, I disliked the lack of animations. I think I will use it again because of the group options and being able to share it with others. Overall, I found Google Docs very useful and look forward to utilizing it in future projects. If I could change it a bit, I would have kept our slides more consistent.

Self Evaluation for Project
Magazine Cover:For this, I used a picture of a dragon from Neverwinter Nights for the background. I masked in the fire that the dragon is breathing. I used tons of layers for this. In the background, I put pictures of a rifle, the Normandy and Shepard from Mass Effect. Then I put in the female mage from Dragon Age I and sharpened her image. I put another layer in as Hawke from Dragon Age II and also sharpened him. I put a black gradient coming from the corner and lowered opacity so the text was visible. I added another layer with the Bioware Logo as all of the above games are made by Bioware. I smudged the edges and lowered opacity to blend it in. I used the text option to put in the words/quotes. I put in a barcode to camouflage the mistake I made when cutting out the mage’s hand. I used filter to sharpen the edges.
Collage: For this, I added all the JPEGS by dragging with selection. I masked over a few things, like my very good friend, the queen’s dress. I also lightened the fur of my dog and in the other corner, turned her into Rudolph. I smudged and blurred the edges of most pictures. I made Bryony’s hair purple with masking. I added a picture of fireworks that I took in Europe as the backdrop. I cut out the pictures of my friends with the magnetic lasso tool. Using a mask yet again, I gave everyone a tan and then made myself a brunette in the middle. I used the text option to add the title in a font I thought was appropriate.
Evaluation: I think my choice of tools could have been more diverse but overall, I think I did fairly well. I have definitely found masking to be the most useful tool on PhotoShop. I am particularly proud of my magazine cover, but I probably could have worked on my collage some more.

My Fav. Websites
My three favourite websites are:
Facebook, because you can connect with friends and family that you wouldn't normally be able to communicate with. It has a clear layout and has games as well. You can also share videos, photos etc.
Youtube, because if I want to listen to music that I don't have or watch a movie, I can do it on my phone with Youtube.
Hotmail, because I can send and recieve emails from friends or chat with messenger.

I had trouble blurring the edges of this picture.

Image Files
JPEG -- Joint Photographic Experts Group -- JPEG is best for photos when you need to keep the file size small. JPEG is not suitable for images with text, large blocks of color, or simple shapes, because solid lines will blur. Best used on the web.
GIF -- Graphical Interchange Format -- GIF files can be animated, where the others can't. Best used on the web.
PNG -- Portable Network Graphic -- PNG are useful when you need smaller file sizes with no loss in quality. Best used on the web.
BMP -- Bit Map Picture -- Use BMP for any type of bitmap (pixel-based) images. BMPs are huge files, but there is no loss in quality.
PSD -- Photoshop Document --

About Me
My name is Lucinda Blake, but I am usually known as Lucy. My friends call me Sci-fi Nerd because I love Star Trek, Star Wars and Star Gate. I also love mucking around with technology, modding my favourite PC games and other stuff. I am a bit of a tomboy with my game choices, playing Halo, Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights, etc. My hobbies are Guitar Hero, Soccer and ballet/contemporary. I have one dog, a golden retriever called Lady. I have four sisters and have 3 nephews and 3 nieces. I have been an aunt since six months of age. On the holidays, we went to a caravan park in Marysville because our camping trip was cancelled due to the floods. My favourite subjects are I.T., German and Drama. My favourite colours are orange, yellow and green. I prefer ps3 to xbox because Dragon Age Origins is not available in xbox as far as I have seen. I chose this subject (along with all of the others) because I love I.T.
