Self Evaluation for Project
Magazine Cover:For this, I used a picture of a dragon from Neverwinter Nights for the background. I masked in the fire that the dragon is breathing. I used tons of layers for this. In the background, I put pictures of a rifle, the Normandy and Shepard from Mass Effect. Then I put in the female mage from Dragon Age I and sharpened her image. I put another layer in as Hawke from Dragon Age II and also sharpened him. I put a black gradient coming from the corner and lowered opacity so the text was visible. I added another layer with the Bioware Logo as all of the above games are made by Bioware. I smudged the edges and lowered opacity to blend it in. I used the text option to put in the words/quotes. I put in a barcode to camouflage the mistake I made when cutting out the mage’s hand. I used filter to sharpen the edges.
Collage: For this, I added all the JPEGS by dragging with selection. I masked over a few things, like my very good friend, the queen’s dress. I also lightened the fur of my dog and in the other corner, turned her into Rudolph. I smudged and blurred the edges of most pictures. I made Bryony’s hair purple with masking. I added a picture of fireworks that I took in Europe as the backdrop. I cut out the pictures of my friends with the magnetic lasso tool. Using a mask yet again, I gave everyone a tan and then made myself a brunette in the middle. I used the text option to add the title in a font I thought was appropriate.
Evaluation: I think my choice of tools could have been more diverse but overall, I think I did fairly well. I have definitely found masking to be the most useful tool on PhotoShop. I am particularly proud of my magazine cover, but I probably could have worked on my collage some more.

My Fav. Websites
My three favourite websites are:
Facebook, because you can connect with friends and family that you wouldn't normally be able to communicate with. It has a clear layout and has games as well. You can also share videos, photos etc.
Youtube, because if I want to listen to music that I don't have or watch a movie, I can do it on my phone with Youtube.
Hotmail, because I can send and recieve emails from friends or chat with messenger.

Next Picture
I had trouble blurring the edges of this picture.
This is from a dying man's point of view. He is visiting a grave.

*Addition* 16th June. I re-did the Kirsten Dunst picture because I'm finished.
